DALTON Arthur Ernest

-

PICTOU – It is with great sadness and heavy heart that we announce the passing of Arthur Ernest Dalton. Arthur was the son of Freda Joan (Langille) Dalton and Charles Ernest Dalton. Arthur was born on August 4, 1947 in Pictou where he spent all of his life. He was born with health problems which bothered him throughout his life. As a young boy and in youth he loved to swim and row his boat, with his dog ‘Laddie’ in the back seat, to the Mile Bridge and around the harbour. As he got older, he took a great interest in fishing off the wharf in Pictou. He would always catch fish when no one else could. He also loved his collection of bag pipe music which he would sit and listen to often. He would even practice with the Heather bells years ago (drumming). As he got older in years he was stricken with diabetes and this ailment took the use of his legs, so he was confined to a wheelchair and entered the Shire town Nursing Home in 2004 where he passed away on January 1, 2019. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. Graveside Committal Service will take place in St. James Cemetery (next to his parents) will be announced at a later date. A big thank you goes out to all the staff and residents of Shire town Nursing Home and fur baby, Bella, without all your love, support and dedication, we would not have got through this difficult time. www.mclarenfuneral. ca
