Major bantam Bombers have rough weekend

PICTOU, N.S. — It was a weekend they’d rather forget.

The Pictou County WearWell Garments Bombes major bantam team dropped two games, starting with a 7-0 loss they suffered at the hands of the South Shore Major Lumberjacks. That game was played at the Hector Arena in Pictou.

On Sunday in Halifax, the Bombers lost 8-3 against ACCEL Hawks, with Kiefer Avery, Lucas Canning and Cole Sellers getting goals for the Bombers.

The team is playing at the 2019 IceJam Tournament this week. All games are at the BMO Centre in Hammonds Plains.
