PICTOU, N.S. — Aaron Pritchett retains his title as one of Canada’s most electrifying entertainers, as he prepares to release his latest studio album, Out on the Town.

With 14 career top-10 singles, a gold-selling smash hit, a recent string of top-10 songs and a national tour, Pritchett continues to enjoy success.

Following a triumphant year with his smash single “Worth A Shot” and a packed summer festival season, the multi-CCMA winner Pritchett headed into 2019 with the announcement of his Out on the Town Tour, kicking off with the release of his forthcoming EP Out on the Town. He’s hitting the road with special guest David James and the pair will be at the deCoste Performing Arts Centre in Pictou, on Saturday, Feb. 23, at 7:30 p.m., his only stop in Nova Scotia on this cross-Canada tour.

Jennifer MacLennan, marketing manager of the deCoste centre expects a sellout.

“Based on the response we received to Gord Bamford’s concert back in December, I’m anticipating another amazing performance,” she said. “An opportunity to see a national award-winning Canadian Country Music artist like Aaron Pritchett, as well as an up and coming talent like David James, is hard to put a price on an experience to a live show like this one.”

Pritchett has become known for his charting anthems since his top-10, gold-certified hit “Hold My Beer,” followed by the 2008 hit, “Let’s Get Rowdy,” and “Dirt Road in ’Em,” the lead track from his No. 1 album, The Score.

James has been busy mapping out his musical trajectory, which to date has included two Canadian Country Music Association Award nominations in 2016 for Rising Star and Recording Package of the Year, for his album Songs About A Girl. His latest song, “Downtown Kids,” has been moving up the country charts and is the followup to his upbeat song “Sun Set on It.”
