Puck drop in Pictou
Isaac Fraser, shown with his mom Sarah, dropped the puck during a ceremonial opening faceoff on Sunday in Pictou between the Canso Bluefins and Trenton Steelers. Shown at left is Canso captain Scott Fitzpatrick along with Trenton Steelers’ captain Clark Robertson. Canso won the game in overtime to capture the Highland Challenge Midget C championship tournament. Money was raised during the weekend to help the Fraser family modify their Central West River home in order to accommodate the health care needs of Isaac, who has a rare form of muscular dystrophy. A GoFundMe campaign has also bene set up for the Fraser family.
