Marguerite Munro, 93 of Westville, passed away on April 23, 2021 in the Aberden Hospital, New Glasgow. Our Mother, Marguerite was born in Westville, NS to Elsie Elizabeth Wadden (nee Thomas) and Michael Campbell Wadden on February 26, 1928. She was a member of the Westville and Area Garden Club, Westville Heritage Club and St. Andrew’s Presbyteri­an Church. Mother enjoyed gardening and line dancing as she was a former member of the Happy Hoofers Line Dance Group. Marguerite is survived by her daughter, Nancy Jean (Joe Thieu), Elmsdale and son, Kenneth Grant Munro, Halifax, NS; grandchild­ren, Shannon (Wayne), Windsor, NS, Michael (Rachel), Moncton, NB, Adam (Stephanie), Toronto, ON, Brad, Milford Station, NS; granddaugh­ter-in-law, Cheyeanne Chiasson, and step grandson, Khoa Thieu (Tiffany), Edmonton, AB; her sister-in-law, Jessie Wadden, Valley View; numerous great-grandchild­ren, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predecease­d by her husband of 62 years, Grant Munro; her grandson, Shayne; her brother, Alfred, sisters and brothers-in-law, Kathleen (Major Gordon Tibbitts), Elsie (William Jackson) and Jean (Gillis Green). We would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Rivera and staff, the wonderful Doctors and Nurses on the fourth and fifth floors of the Aberdeen Hospital, most especially Kimberly. Also special thanks to all the caring VON home care and nursing workers that made it possible to achieve her greatest wish of being at home as long as possible. Also deep gratitude to the staff at Sobeys West Side and Lawton’s Pharmacy, Westville for their service that allowed Mom to remain in her home. Personal thanks to Jessie Newman, Kathy and Ken Chisholm, and Helen and Sandy MacIntosh. There will be no visitation­s held. Her funeral service was held, however due to covid restrictio­ns there will be no attendance at the funeral home.
