CAMERON, Mary Virginia “Vergie”

It is with profound sorrow we announce

the passing of Mary Virginia “Vergie” Cameron, 97, of Stellarton on Monday, February 7, 2022. Vergie was proud to have resided at her Foster Ave. home with care

givers aid until February of last year. She passed away at Glen Haven Manor on the first anniversary of residing there, after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her parents, Hugh George “Papa George” and Mary Ellen (MacInnis) Cameron; also her Aunt Charlotte who resided with the Cameron family. Vergie was the last member of the close-knit Cameron family. She was also predeceased by brothers, Wilfred and George and sister Eleanor Cameron. Vergie attended Our Lady of Lourdes Parochial Schools, St. Bridget’s , St. Mary’s and Stellarton Jr/Sr High. She devoted her life to caring for her parents, aunt and siblings. Vergie was extremely faithful to her Catholic Faith and practiced a daily routine of prayer, devotion and meditation. The peaceful and out-of-the-way private Cameron Home was the center of family life where they welcomed and enjoyed all visitors. Vergie is survived by cousins Betty MacKenzie, Shirley Farrell (Bernie), Jeannine Kirincich and long time family friend, Stephen
