The mayor, council and citizens of Trenton might know how great it is to live in their town, but they aren’t the only ones.

Moving Waldo, a Montreal-based software company that provides technological solutions to moving, listed Trenton as No. 3 for their top 10 Best Places to Live in Canada, 2022.

The company highlights Trenton’s proximity to amenities, Trenton Park, its relatively low housing cost and its low crime rate.

“Trenton Park is considered one of Nova Scotia’s best parks. You won’t be disappointed with its 6.5 km of walking and hiking trails and its 565 acres of century-old trees,” the article states.

Mayor Donald Hussher says he was very pleased when he saw Moving Waldo’s article.

“We are a very welcoming and friendly community and we do our best with our infrastructure and keeping citizens happy. It is a very good place to live,” says Hussher.

Echoing the article’s sentiments, he says Trenton is well located in Pictou County, close to retail, recreation, hospital, beaches and Trenton Park, which has activities going on all year round.

“The cost of living in this area is fairly good compared to the rest of Nova Scotia and the rest of Canada.”

Once an industrial powerhouse, Hussher says now Trenton is a more quiet town, great for raising a family or retirement.
