Witness the slow death of the American dream

- Charles Owen

The greed of banks on Wall Street is causing the deterioration of the U.S. and decline in the living standards of the middle class.

America has reached a point where the next generation will not have a better standard of living than the previous generation.

The banks on Wall Street caused the financial meltdown in 2007 with toxic sub-prime mortgages which caused a worldwide financial crisis.

Wall Street bankers reaped huge rewards during the bailout in 2008 because they were too big to fail.

Theultimate lender of last resort has nowbecome the American taxpayers and not the banks that caused the problem in the first place.

Millions of Americans nowhave mortgages that are under water.

They owe more on their homes than what they are worth.

Some veterans of the war in Iraq and Afghanistan are returning to find their homes have been lost through foreclosure.

Cities are broke, counties are broke, states are broke and the federal government will soon have a debt of $16 trillion.

So whowill bail out who when the financial earthquake erupts?

THEU.S. is nowjust months away from grabbing all the headlines from Greece.

We are witnessing the slow death of the American dream.
