A woman in Kitchener, Ont., killed her four-year-old daughter and then took her own life, police said Thursday.

Police found the bodies of Joanna Nowakowska, 38, and her daughter Bianca, 4, in an apartment in the southwestern Ontario city on Monday night.

At the time, police said they weren’t seeking suspects.

On Thursday morning, cops confirmed the deaths were the result of a murder-suicide.

“As the a result of a postmortem ... detectives are attributing the death of the child to the intentional actions of her mother,” police said in a news release.
