Games against Danes, university all-stars highlight world junior camp in St. Kitts
Great Danes playing hockey in the home of the Niagara IceDogs?
What could be more appropriate.
For players on Canada’s national junior team, an exhibition game versus Team Denmark on Friday, Dec. 15, at Meridian Centre will be their final test before selection camp wraps up.
They also will be hosting Canadian university all-stars Wednesday, Dec. 13, and Thursday, Dec. 14, at the three-day camp in St. Catharines.
Tickets for the world junior pre-tournament went on sale Wednesday at $40 per seat. Price includes the exhibition games as well as a voucher valid for the value sections at any one of the IceDogs home games, between Dec. 15 and Jan. 17, at the downtown arena.
The International Ice Hockey Federation 2018 World Junior Championship in Buffalo gets underway Friday, Dec. 29, with an outdoor game between Canada and the U.S. at New ERA Field in Orchard Park, N.Y.
Vouchers from the pre-tournament ticket package are valid for any one of the following IceDogs games: Dec. 15, versus North Bay Battalion;
Dec. 16, Barrie Colts;
Dec. 31, Hamilton Bulldogs;
Jan. 4, Guelph Storm;
Jan. 6, Sudbury Wolves;
Jan. 7, Kingston Frotenacs;
Jan. 11, Erie Otters;
Jan. 12, Barrie;
Jan. 17, Kitchener Rangers.
All are 7 p.m. faceoffs except Dec. 31, 6 p.m.; and Jan. 7, 2 p.m.
