Nov. 26, 2018: NPCA CAO Mark Brickell speaks at a St. Catharines city council meeting. Nov. 28, 2018: At a closed door meeting, the NPCA board suspends Brickell with pay. Nov. 30, 2018: The term of Niagara councillor­s on the NPCA board, including chair Sandy Annunziata, comes to an end. Dec. 4, 2018: The now-former NPCA board holds another closed door meeting to discuss personnel matters. Dec. 6, 2018:

5 p.m. Regional council replaces all 12 Niagara members on the NPCA board with an interim board.

5 p.m. to 6 p.m.: Brickell informed in writing that he has been fired.

6:12 p.m. NPCA staff told Brickell no longer works there. HR warns them not to talk to Brickell.

6:18 p.m. NPCA issues press release saying NPCA clerk Lisa McManus is interim CAO.
