The Grow Up Conference & Expo will return to Niagara Falls for a third year Sept. 12 to 14.

The cannabis-themed event at the Scotiabank Convention Centre focuses on education, collaboration and expansion in the sector, more-so than the retail side of the industry. Panels, discussions and networking sessions are scheduled for all three days.

Featured speakers this year include the “King of Cannabis” Arjan Roskam and Supreme Cannabis Company founder John Fowler.

The conference will also offer hands-on workshops on how to successfully grow recreational and medicinal cannabis at home. Topics touch on security, soil selection, nutrients and ventilation.

Niagara Falls Mayor Jim Diodati will provide opening remarks on day one.

Expo president Randy Rowe says the event has received “tremendous support locally and globally.”

The first year in 2017 featured Canadian pot advocate Jodie Emery, while last year saw “Dragons’ Den” star Kevin O’Leary speak.

Grow Up attracts industry experts from around the world. They are coming to Niagara Falls to learn, network and grow.

New this year will be the Grow Up Awards Gala, happening Sept. 12 at the Greg Frewin Theatre. Hosted by “Cash Cab” host/comedian Adam Growe, with a bonus performance by Frewin, the awards will recognize individuals in the cannabis industry both locally and abroad.

The night will end with Ed Rosenthal, known as the “Guru of Ganja,” being inducted into the Grower Hall of Fame. Tickets for the awards ceremony are $185. For more information, visit www.growupconference.com
