Man charged with Clarenville Dol­larama rob­bery re­leased on bail

The 35-year-old man charged with the Jan. 10 armed rob­bery of Clarenville’s Dol­larama was re­leased on bail Wednes­day, Feb. 14.

Mitchell Fen­nell, who is charged with armed rob­bery of $87.75, pos­ses­sion of a weapon for a dan­ger­ous pur­pose (a knife al­legedly used in the rob­bery), and be­ing dis­guised with in­tent, was re­leased on sev­eral con­di­tions. Among other things, he must re­main away from the Dol­larama, as well as the Esso gas sta­tion on Memo­rial Drive in Clarenville, where he al­legedly stole two cans of beer on Jan. 2.

There are a num­ber of peo­ple which Fen­nell must also not com­mu­ni­cate or have con­tact with.

Fen­nell must also re­side at a house in Plate Cove West, must sub­mit any weapons, firearms, or re­lated li­cense to the RCMP, must ad­here to a cur­few, and avoid any al­co­hol or illegal drugs.

He is sched­uled in ap­pear in court again March. 15.
