Man charged with internet luring, child porn
A 31-year-old Clarenville man has been charged with a dozen children luring and child pornography charges.
Gary Lockyer made a brief appearance in provincial court in St. John’s Feb. 14 and was granted bail with strict conditions after reappearing before a judge the following morning.
Lockyer faces 12 charges — five counts of luring a child under 16, two counts each of attempted exposure, luring a child under 18 and making arrangements to commit a sexual offence against a child, and a single count of making child pornography.
He’s due back in court March 28.
Lockyer was arrested in St. John’s by the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit of Newfoundland and Labrador last week in relation to an internet child luring investigation, which began Feb. 3.
