The Com­mu­nity Cal­en­dar is your one-stop shop for com­mu­nity events in the Packet re­gion. Space is re­served for non-profit, non-gov­ern­ment funded groups and or­ga­ni­za­tions.

List­ings should be typed, 50 words or less, and in­clude the com­mu­nity in which your event is be­ing held. You may also in­clude one photo, if you wish, but it can­not be a poster. List­ings will run in print and on­line each week on Thurs­days. The dead­line is Tues­day dur­ing the week prior to the edi­tion of the pa­per in which your list­ing will run.

WALK 4 MEN­TAL HEALTH AND AD­DIC­TIONS

The Dis­cov­ery Health Care and TipA-Vista Well­ness Foun­da­tions are plan­ning a Walk 4 Men­tal Health and Ad­dic­tions. They hope for a turnout of at least 500 par­tic­i­pants, rep­re­sent­ing all 97 com­mu­ni­ties in and around the Bon­av­ista Penin­sula. Spon­sor sheets avail­able in the Ex­er­cise Room at the Keough Shop (Church Street, Bon­av­ista). Par­tic­i­pants with over $20 raised will re­ceive a free T-Shirt.

While fam­i­lies are wel­come ev­ery Sun­day at Cal­vary, this Sun­day is de­signed for fam­i­lies with kids and teenagers. Break­fast: 10:15 a.m., Fam­ily Ser­vice: 11:00 a.m., with wor­ship for ev­ery­one (in­clud­ing songs from Kids Xpe­ri­ence), and a fam­ily-friendly mes­sage from Pas­tor An­drew.
