Hillview man accused of firing gun at two men released on bail
Next appearance in Clarenville court scheduled for Oct. 4
A Hillview man facing two charges of discharging a fireman with intent to endanger the lives of two men was released from custody with conditions Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 4.
Harvey Price, 48, is also facing charges of careless use of firearms, pointing firearms, possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, following an alleged incident Sunday, Sept. 2.
Clarenville RCMP were called to the scene in Hatchet Cove at around 4:15 p.m. and remained in the area until approximately 9 p.m.
A dog was on scene to assist in finding the suspect, but RCMP say he came out of the woods willingly.
Price is set to appear again in Clarenville provincial court Oct. 4.
He’s been ordered to comply with a number of conditions while released, including a weekly check in with RCMP, a weapons prohibition order and an order to have no contact with the men he is accused of firing at.
