Fish plant treading water
The future of Terra Nova Fisheries and its 130 employees is in limbo after Clarenville Town Council voted to postpone a decision allowing them to permanently hook onto Shoal Harbour’s water system at last week’s regular council meeting.
Public Works chair Eph Carpenter motioned to let the fish plant connect to the water system, but failed to receive support from any of his fellow councillors.
