Eastern NL Dragon Boating Association looking to increase membership
First annual general meeting continues to build on momentum
The Eastern NL Dragon Boating Association held their first ever annual general meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 24.
The group adopted bylaws, elected an executive committee, and presented reports on fundraising and operations.
Having officially acquired their own boat this year, the group continues to fundraise to ensure they have a place to store and use it, while also eventually planning their own dragon boating event in the Clarenville area.
And, as always, they’re also looking to increase membership for breast cancer survivors and other supporters alike. They want to increase the size of the association going forward.
If interested, contact the group to become a team member or general member.
Eastern NL Dragon Boating Association co-chair Tina Fillier and chair Sherry Warren were honoured by the group for their contributions to dragon boating in the area. For more photos, including presentations to group sponsors, go to www.thepacket.ca.
