Numbers point to need for more long-term care beds, says CEO
20 years ago From the Nov. 9, 1998
Over a year ago Cal Kinden, CEO of Health and Community Services, Eastern Region, said he would not be able to justify adding more long-term care beds to the hospital at Clarenville.
At that time, there were only a couple of people on the waiting list for beds.
It’s a different story today.
In an interview last week Kinden told the Packet that there are 43 people who would move into long-term care beds in Clarenville if the beds were available.
