Mar­tial arts vet­eran Rolles Gra­cie teaches jiu-jitsu sem­i­nar in Clarenville

Fourth-de­gree black belt, four-time Pan-Amer­i­can Cham­pion, and 2007 ADCC World Cham­pi­onship sil­ver medal­ist, Rolles Gra­cie was in Clarenville Sat­ur­day, Nov. 17 for a jiu-jitsu sem­i­nar at Ve­loc­ity.

About a hun­dred stu­dents, youth and adults alike, par­tic­i­pated in the sem­i­nar, with some trav­el­ling from as far as Bonavista and St. John’s.

Gra­cie taught a kids sem­i­nar in the morn­ing, fol­lowed by a youth/adult sem­i­nar in the af­ter­noon, and was in St. John’s the fol­low­ing day for yet an­other sem­i­nar.

He also awarded sev­eral stu­dents new belts or belt up­grades.

Gra­cie was also in Clarenville last year to teach a sem­i­nar.
