Fourth-degree black belt, four-time Pan-American Champion, and 2007 ADCC World Championship silver medalist, Rolles Gracie was in Clarenville Saturday, Nov. 17 for a jiu-jitsu seminar at Velocity.
About a hundred students, youth and adults alike, participated in the seminar, with some travelling from as far as Bonavista and St. John’s.
Gracie taught a kids seminar in the morning, followed by a youth/adult seminar in the afternoon, and was in St. John’s the following day for yet another seminar.
He also awarded several students new belts or belt upgrades.
