The Com­mu­nity Cal­en­dar is your one-stop shop for com­mu­nity events in the Packet re­gion. Space is re­served for non­profit, non-gov­ern­ment funded groups and or­ga­ni­za­tions.

List­ings should be typed, 50 words or less, and in­clude the com­mu­nity in which your event is be­ing held. You may also in­clude one photo, if you wish, but it can­not be a poster. List­ings will run in print and on­line each week on Thurs­days. The dead­line is Tues­day dur­ing the week prior to the edi­tion of the pa­per in which your listing will run.

A non-profit sea­sonal Farm and Mar­ket, fea­tur­ing lo­cal pro­duce, pre­pared food, hand­crafted items, and en­ter­tain­ment. Open 10 a.m.-3 p.m. ev­ery Satur­day.

AN­NUAL HEIDI DUNN ME­MO­RIAL DESERT CAFÉ The sec­ond an­nual Heidi Dunn Me­mo­rial Dessert Café will take place at Dis­cov­ery Col­le­giate, Bon­av­ista. Tick­ets cost $12 each and can be pur­chased at the main of­fice of the school.

CHRIST­MAS CAKE BINGO

Hosted by the Ran­dom Lions Club, El­liott’s Cove. Doors open at 7 p.m. Lots of great prizes and a food ham­per jack­pot. Please note, adults only.

CHRIST­MAS CRAFT & VENDOR FAIR

Tak­ing place at the Lit­tle Catalina Town Hall, with can­teen ser­vice avail­able through­out the day. Come visit us for some great Christ­mas gift ideas for ev­ery­one on your list. We’ll be ac­cept­ing do­na­tions of chil­dren’s stock­ing items to go to­wards the Girl Guides Stuff-a-Stock­ing event.

SKATE WITH SANTA & TREE LIGHTING CER­E­MONY Join the Town of Clarenville at the Eastlink Events Cen­tre for the an­nual Skate with Santa and Christ­mas Tree Lighting Cer­e­mony. Free skat­ing with Santa from

4:30-5:20 p.m. All skaters must wear a hel­met. Carol­ing led by the Sal­va­tion Army Band and Tree Lighting from

5:30-6:30 p.m. out­side the fa­cil­ity.

GOLDEN HEIGHTS MANOR TREE LIGHTING CER­E­MONY

The Bon­av­ista Penin­sula Health Cen­tre Aux­il­iary will light up the Tree of Mem­o­ries in the lobby of Golden Heights Manor. Bulbs can be pur­chased in mem­ory of loved ones at the manor (near the el­e­va­tor) from 2-4 p.m. un­til Dec. 9. They will also be ac­cept­ing do­na­tions.
