Rockers bring it home
I Mother Earth performed as part of Peterborough Musicfest on Saturday night.
Edwin sings as alternative rock band I Mother Earth performed on the Fred Anderson Stage in Del Crary Park as part of the 30th anniversary of Peterborough Musicfest on Saturday night. The band, which reunited with its former frontman after some 18 years, is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its sophomore double platinum release, Scenery and Fish. They played hits and fan favourites including One More Astronaut, Like A Girl, Not Quite Sonic, Raspberry, Used To Be Alright, Another Sunday, Rain Will Fall, Santana’s Evil Ways and for the encore, Levitate. It was a homecoming of sorts with brothers Jagori Tanna (guitars, backing vocals) and Christian Tanna (drums) hailing from the city. Musicfest continues Wednesday with Gowan taking the stage at 8 p.m.
