Box office open at 4 th Line

The 4th Line Theatre box office is now open to the public for ticket purchases and gift certificat­e redemption­s for the 2017 summer season.

Tickets, gift certificat­es and picnics for 4th Line Theatre’s 2017 season can be purchased by phone (705-932-4445), online at 4thlinethe­atre.on.ca, at 4th Line Theatre’s Box Office at 4 Tupper St., Millbrook or at the ticket outlet at the Peterborou­gh Museum and Archives on Armour Hill in Peterborou­gh.

Savings are available when tickets are booked for a group of 12 or more – family, friends, coworkers. Booking tickets for groups of 12-24 saves $1 per ticket, while booking 25 or more saves $2 per ticket, and offers reserved seating.

All group ticket orders are subject to a handling fee per order and reserved seating is based on availabili­ty so book early to secure ti cake ts and seating for your preferred performanc­e date, 4th Line advises.

This season features two new works.

Bombers: Reaping the Whirlwind tells the story of Peter, am an in his nine ties, who is visited by a mysterious young woman whose curiosity about his wartime experience forces him to relive his memories of love, loss and friendship set against the electrifie­d and heightened backdrop of World War II. Following Canadian bomber crews as they struggle to win the war, this action-packed epic has romance, danger and music. Witness the joy, tragedy and human toll of war on the 4th Line stage in this world premiere. By David S. The History of Drinking in Ca van looks at alcohol consumptio­n or the lack thereof in the local area over the past 200 years. Robert Winslow and his alter-ego, King, the town drunk, will take audience son a wild historical ride from the early days of Irish settlement in the township through to presentday drinking practices. The play veers from the anecdotal to the personal, from the outrageous to the serious as Winslow shares the rich stories of local residents and his own experience­s growing up in Cavan.
