Theatre Guild performing A Life Before

Take a step back in time and into the paranormal when the Peterborou­gh Theatre Guild presents the latest play to take to the PTG stage.

The play is written by and directed by Peterborou­gh playwright Robert Ainsworth.

The play centres on a man who has strong memories of an abandoned house that he has never been to.

As the house draws him in, he begins to unravel the truth that lies within the deserted building.

The play is set in the present day and harkens back to the 1950s.

Evening performanc­es are slated for Thursday, Friday and Saturday and continue next week from March 9 to 11 at 8 p.m. There is also a matinee scheduled for Sunday at 2 p.m. The PTG has entered

in the upcoming Eastern Ontario Drama League’s fulllength spring festival set for May.

Additional­ly, Ainsworth is up for some awards in the EODL spring festival for work on two of his plays,

and Daughter Michelle Ainsworth couldn’t be happier.

“It’s very exciting. I’m extremely proud of him,” she said.

Tickets for are: adult, $20; seniors $18 and students, $11 and are available through the PTG box office.

To get tickets in person, visit the box office Thursday and Friday evenings from 5:30pm to 8 p.m., or one hour before performanc­es Saturday evenings and Sunday matinees.

Interested in Photograph­y? Check out the Peterborou­gh Photograph­ic Society. Meetings are the first Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m. at the Peterborou­gh Lions Community Centre, 347 Burnham St.
