Highway 7 and Mount Horeb Rd/City of Kawartha Lakes Road 31 will be much busier for the next 40-odd days while construction is being done on Highway 35 south of Highway 7.

A bridge and culvert are being refurbished and Highway 35 will be closed, diverting a large amount of traffic to Mount Horeb Rd. and Highway 7. Temporary traffic signals will be installed west of Omemee at Mount Horeb Rd.

When you’re planning any trips west of Omemee, you’ll need to take the changes into consideration and plan accordingly. Here’s hoping that everything goes according to schedule and everything is back to normal by mid-November.
