Audience to determine whodunnit

- CAROLINE MCCONNELL FUNDRAISING

A diva of an actor has been murdered and it’s up to the audience, as they enjoy lunch, to uncover who did it!

Murder on McDonnel, a murder mystery luncheon, presented by The Theatre on King (TTOK), takes place Friday, Nov. 17 from noon until 3 p.m. at the McDonnell Street Activity Centre.

The play was written by Simon Turner-Semchuk, directed by Kate Story, and features a cast of Naomi Duvall, Matt Gilbert, Di Latchford, Daniel Smith, Lindsay Unterlander and Hilary Wear.

The plot includes a misunderstood playwright, an egotistical director and an overwrought actor. And who committedthemurder? Allwillberevealed between the lunch courses.

“For anybody who came last year, it’s a sequel,” says director Story. “But don’t worry, the new play stands on its own whether you attended the event last year or not!”

The event includes a three-course lunch provided by BlackHoney, wine or beer, and a cash bar. Musical entertainmentwillbeperformedbyperiod music stars Chester Babcock, featuring Susan Newman, Rob Fortin, and John Hoffman. caFor further details visit www.ttok.

The cost is $60 and seating is limited. Tickets are available (cash or cheque only) at Black Honey, by contacting The Theatre on King at 705-930-6194, or from Kate Story by emailing her at kstory@nexicom. net.
