Vehicle hits pole
City police have charged a driver after a vehicle hit a hydro pole at the corner of River Rd. S. and Southlawn Dr. early Sunday morning.
Police, firefighters and paramedics were called to the intersection at about 1:30 a.m. Police smelled alcohol and gave the driver a breath test.
Bradley Tyler Wall, 24, of Sherbrooke St., was charged with driving with more than 80 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood . He received a 90-day driver’s licence suspension and a his vehicle was impounded for seven days.
He was also charged under the Highway Traffic Act with driving without a permit, driving without validation on licence plate and driving without insurance as an owner-operator.
Wall was released and will appear in court May 10 and police were called.
The man, 38, was charged with domestic assault. He was released and is to appear in court May 10.
His name was not released to protect the woman’s identity.
