Ve­hi­cle hits pole

City po­lice have charged a driver af­ter a ve­hi­cle hit a hy­dro pole at the cor­ner of River Rd. S. and South­lawn Dr. early Sun­day morn­ing.

Po­lice, fire­fight­ers and paramedics were called to the in­ter­sec­tion at about 1:30 a.m. Po­lice smelled al­co­hol and gave the driver a breath test.

Bradley Tyler Wall, 24, of Sher­brooke St., was charged with driv­ing with more than 80 mg of al­co­hol in 100 ml of blood . He re­ceived a 90-day driver’s li­cence sus­pen­sion and a his ve­hi­cle was im­pounded for seven days.

He was also charged under the High­way Traf­fic Act with driv­ing with­out a per­mit, driv­ing with­out val­i­da­tion on li­cence plate and driv­ing with­out in­sur­ance as an owner-op­er­a­tor.

Wall was re­leased and will ap­pear in court May 10 and po­lice were called.

The man, 38, was charged with do­mes­tic as­sault. He was re­leased and is to ap­pear in court May 10.

His name was not re­leased to pro­tect the woman’s iden­tity.
