Commonwell donates $15K to local CAS
The Commonwell Mutual Insurance Group is at it again, donating to organizations in our community. This time The Commonwell, a local home and auto insurance company based in Lindsey, has made a donation of $15,000 to support the Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Foundation located at 1100 Chemong Rd.
The donation will allow 30 local at-risk children to attend either a week of overnight camp or two weeks of day camp this summer.
“We are very pleased to support these potentially life-changing camp experiences for local at-risk children,” said Tim Shauf, president and CEO of The Commonwell Mutual Insurance Group. “A positive summer experience now, can truly make a big difference in the future of a young person in need.”
“The Kawartha-Haliburton Children's Foundation and The Commonwell consistently share the same focus, the well-being of our local kids,” said Deb Aben, executive director of the Kawartha-Haliburton Children's Foundation. “Serving Peterborough County, the City of Kawartha Lakes and Haliburton County, our Foundation is dedicated to providing enrichment opportunities designed to help improve the quality of life for children receiving services from the (CAS).”
