FLIGHT SCHOOL MARKS HALF CENTURY
The 50th anniversary of Seneca School of Aviation was celebrated Friday night at Seneca College’s Peterborough campus at the Peterborough Airport. More than 100 people were in attendance, including, from left, president David Agnew, dean Ranjan Bhattacharya of faculty of applied science and engineering technology, Peterborough-Kawartha MPP Dave Smith, director Lynne McMullen of business development, school of aviation, Senecan of Distinction recipients Russell Bannoc and Andrew Williams, honouring his mother Joan, and Steve Linthwaite attended. The event included opening remarks and campus tours. The school opened a campus in Peterborough in 2014. It moved from the Buttonville Airport in Markham, where it had operated for 45 years prior.
