Theft charge laid

A 35-year-old Western Avenue woman faces a theft over $5,000 charge after musical equipment rented from a Aylmer Street store was not returned, city police said.

Many items valued at more than $5,000 were rented on Aug. 9 and 13, police said.

Kristin McKibbon was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
