Impaired driving arrest
City police stopped a driver after noticing a vehicle without its taillights on near Dalhousie and Rubidge streets at 9:50 p.m. Monday.
The officer suspected the driver had been drinking and conducted a breath test.
Darien Nicholas Capalbo-Jacobs, 23, of Neebeesh Street, Curve Lake, was arrested and charged with driving with more than 80 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood, personation with intent to avoid arrest, failing to comply with a probation order, driving while under suspension (Highway Traffic Act) and driving Drive without proper rear light on a motor vehicle (Highway Traffic Act).
He was released and is to appear in court Sept. 27.
