Impaired driving arrest

City police stopped a driver after noticing a vehicle without its taillights on near Dalhousie and Rubidge streets at 9:50 p.m. Monday.

The officer suspected the driver had been drinking and conducted a breath test.

Darien Nicholas Capalbo-Jacobs, 23, of Neebeesh Street, Curve Lake, was arrested and charged with driving with more than 80 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood, personatio­n with intent to avoid arrest, failing to comply with a probation order, driving while under suspension (Highway Traffic Act) and driving Drive without proper rear light on a motor vehicle (Highway Traffic Act).

He was released and is to appear in court Sept. 27.
