Assault charge laid

An argument between local halfsisters has led to charges against one of them.

The woman, 23, was arrested Aug. 19 in connection with an incident the day before. It’s alleged that her sister was hit in the face and threatened during an argument.

She was charged with assault, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and failing to comply with a probation order. Her name was not released to protect the other woman’s identity.
