Roseneath area man identified as victim of stabbing in Cobourg

COBOURG — Cobourg police have identified the victim of a stabbing in the east end of Cobourg as Kevin Bandy, 45, from the Roseneath area.

He was airlifted by Ornge air ambulance to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in Toronto and was listed in stable condition.

On Friday at about 1:30 a.m., officers with the Cobourg Police Service responded to a duplex on Elgin Street East, just east of D’Arcy Street, after Bandy was stabbed.

Three persons of interest initially located by the OPP K9 unit within Cobourg and taken into custody, have since been released unconditio­nally pending further investigat­ion, police said.
