Neighbour spots burglar, alerts police

A neighbour saw someone trying to break into a home on Prince St. at about 4:20 p.m. Wednesday and called police.

Officers arrived and found a suspect inside the home. The man tried to run but was caught. Zachary Kevin McIvor, 24, of no fixed address, was charged with breaking and entering, disobeying a court order, failing to comply with the conditions of an undertaking, failing to comply with a probation order.

He was held in custody and appeared in court Thursday.
