Canada drops to 10th at world amateur men’s team golf championsh­ips

MAYNOOTH, IRELAND — Canada has slipped to 10th heading into the fourth and final round the world amateur men’s team golf championsh­ips. Garrett Rank of Elmira, Ont., Joey Savoie of La Prairie, Que., and Hugo Bernard of Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Que., combined to shoot 2-under 142 on Friday in the third round (only the top two scores count). All three players shot 1-under 71. The Canadians, who were fifth after the second round, are 10

shots behind the leaders from New Zealand. Individual­ly, Savoie is the top Canadian at eight under for the tourney, putting him in a tie for 29th.
