Man charged with assaulting partner

City police arrested a local man early Sunday morning after going to a local home to investigate a disturbance.

It’s alleged that the man assaulted a woman and threw a lemon at her. He was charged with assault, assault with a weapon and possession of cocaine.

He appeared in weekend court Sunday. His name was not released to protect the woman’s identity.
