9/11 REMEMBERED
Peterborough Fire Services Chief Chris Snetsinger speaks during the annual 9/11 ceremony held in front of the department's central station on Sherbrooke Street before firefighters and staff, joined by local paramedics and city police officers, observed a minute of silence Tuesday morning. The ceremony, held at the time of the collapse of the South Tower of the World Trade Centre at 9:59 a.m., honoured those lost in the terrorist attacks. Some 2,996 people were killed in the attacks, including 415 firefighters and law enforcement officers.
