Chisholm, SDA on NHL training camp rosters

Peterborough Petes defenceman Declan Chisholm will take part in the Winnipeg Jets training camp starting Friday at the Bell MTS Iceplex in Winnipeg.

The 6’1” 195-pound Bowmanville native is an unsigned draft pick of the Jets after being taken in the fifth round, 150th overall, by the Jets in last June’s NHL draft. Play-making Petes centre Semyon Der-Arguchintsev, who had a goal and an assist last weekend for the Toronto Maple Leafs at the NHL Rookie Showcase in Laval, Que., is on the roster for the Leafs training camp that opens Friday in Niagara Falls.

There’s no immediate word on whether other drafted Petes players such as Zach Gallant, Cole Fraser, Pavel Gogolev or Liam Kirk will be called up to training camps with their NHL teams.
