Burglary suspect confronted twice

Residents of a William Street home found a stranger in their screened-in porch just before 7 p.m. Wednesday and told him they were calling police.

The man left.

Shortly after, another person found a stranger in the sunroom of another home on William Street.

The stranger left on foot.

Police arrested a man in a laneway in the area.

Jordan Edgerton, 24, of no fixed address, Peterborough, was charged with two counts of breaking and entering and breach of recognizance.

He was held in custody and was to appear in court Thursday.
