Six Petes now away at NHL training camps

- MIKE DAVIES Examiner Sports Director

All six Petes who attended NHL rookie camps were invited to main camp.

Declan Chisholm (Winnipeg Jets), Semyon Der-Arguchintsev (Toronto Maple Leafs), Liam Kirk (Arizona Coyotes) as well as

Cole Fraser, Zach Gallant and

Pavel Gogolev, all with the Detroit Red Wings, won’t rejoin the Petes until next week.

It left the Petes short two skaters for Thursday’s game. Adrien Beraldo was suspended one game for being involved in the second fight on a stoppage in play. The Petes could only dress three of their four overage players and scratched Bobby Dow.

John Parker-Jones played defence as coach Rob Wilson wants to see if he can fill in there if needed. They iced 10 forwards and six defencemen.
