There could soon be a new, wheelchair-accessible baseball diamond built in Peterborou­gh for a team of children with special needs.

Peterborou­gh Challenger Baseball wants to build the new accessible ball diamond at Kiwanis Park, fronting on Middlefiel­d Rd. Challenger Baseball president Bernie Daynes will give a presentati­on about it to the city’s arenas, parks and recreation committee Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at 210 Wolfe St.
