Arrests in cocaine bust

Two people were arrested Monday as part of an ongoing police drug investigat­ion.

Officers from the city police ICAD (Intelligen­ce, Crime Analyst, Asset Forfeiture and Drug) unit and the emergency response team searched an apartment on Hunter Street, finding cocaine and more than $6,000 in Canadian cash.

Two people were arrested. Shakeem Anderson-Henry, 25, of Coronation Drive, Scarboroug­h, was charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of traffickin­g, possession of the proceeds of crime and three counts of failing to comply with a probation order.

A 17-year-old Toronto girl was charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of traffickin­g, possession of the proceeds of crime and two counts of failing to comply with a sentence. Her name can’t be released under the terms of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

They were to appear in court Tuesday.
