Arrests in cocaine bust
Two people were arrested Monday as part of an ongoing police drug investigation.
Officers from the city police ICAD (Intelligence, Crime Analyst, Asset Forfeiture and Drug) unit and the emergency response team searched an apartment on Hunter Street, finding cocaine and more than $6,000 in Canadian cash.
Two people were arrested. Shakeem Anderson-Henry, 25, of Coronation Drive, Scarborough, was charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of the proceeds of crime and three counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
A 17-year-old Toronto girl was charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of the proceeds of crime and two counts of failing to comply with a sentence. Her name can’t be released under the terms of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
They were to appear in court Tuesday.
