Turmeric is one of the easiest super foods you can get your hands on. Its benefits are plentiful, especially when it comes to inflammation and pain. Turmeric is a powerful antioxidant that can be used in cooking, smoothies, and warm beverages (see recipe below).

If you are dealing with systemic inflammation you will want to try a curcumin supplement. It is from the same plant as turmeric, but is many times more powerful than the spice. Turmeric as a spice alone is not enough to battle serious inflammation. It’s more of a preventative and good for dealing with inflammation caused by daily wear and tear of the body.

As we head into fall, this Golden Milk Latte is a great way to cut back on coffee while getting some great nutritional benefits. If you haven’t tried collagen in your warm beverages yet, I recommend you give it a shot too. Collagen is a vital nutrient that our body makes less of as we age. It’s beneficial for skin, hair, nails, joints, and much more. I noticed a big change in my hair and nails when I started adding collagen to my lattes.

Enjoy this Golden Milk Latte as you welcome Fall and all things cozy and warm.
