Voices together for a cappella project
Top Ontario quartets will work with local youth
The Peterborough Aces of Harmony, a local a cappella chorus, have created the Peterborough Youth A Cappella Project, an inclusive, a cappella-specific musical program that focuses on education and performance with the ultimate goal of performing in the community.
Members of the project will have the opportunity to work with some of the best quartets in Ontario including Yonge Guns and Shoptimus Prime from Toronto. Dean Bonell, musical director of the Aces, and an experienced director, teacher, and coach is the new musical director of the project.
Youth aged 10 to 30 are invited to participate in this free project to take advantage of an experienced music education team and to learn a wide variety of music styles. To register, send your name, age, school, approximate vocal range, reference (if you have one) and whether you have sung a cappella before to Max.vanderVoet@sympatico.ca or by phone at 705-740-4573.
