Police officer assaulted

Police arrested a city man after responding to a domestic incident Saturday evening.

It’s alleged that the man assaulted one of the city police officers while being arrested to prevent a breach of the peace.

A 40-year-old man was charged with assaulting a peace officer. He was released and will appear in court Oct. 11. His name was not released by city police to protect the other person’s identity.
