PMLA players awarded for efforts
Rhys Sands wins Loucks award; Fee award to Finn Watson
The Peterborough Minor Lacrosse Association celebrated the successes for their rep teams ad individuals in the 2018 season whIle also recognizing volunteers at their annual awards banquet Wednesday at the Thomas A. Stewart Secondary School auditorium.
Here are the award winners.
JOHN GRANT SR. AWARD (MVP FIELD LACROSSE)
Presented to a player who demonstrates a high level of proficiency in skills specific to the field game.

MOST IMPROVED PLAYER
Presented to a player who through hard work and the ability to listen and take risks developed confidence and skill level to enable them to take his/her game to the next level.

HAROLD & DAVID JAMES MEMORIAL AWARD
This award is given annually to a PMLA rep goalie who exemplifies the dedication, enthusiasm and pure love of the game as given to us by Harold and David James.

CHRISTOPHER FEE MEMORIAL AWARD
The Chris Fee award is given annually to a player in the Peewee division that plays the game of lacrosse with incredible passion and skill as well as being well respected by his teammates and opponents.

CHRISTOPHER FEE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
Presented annually in the amount of $200.00
WINNER: Sydney Venton.
JAY LOUCKS MEMORIAL AWARD
The PMLA presents this award annually to an intermediate player who most exemplifies the character of Jay Loucks and his love for the game of lacrosse.
WINNER: Rhys Sands.
JAY LOUCKS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
Presented annually in the amount of $200
WINNER: Victoria Clark.
JAMES JOHNSTON MEMORIAL AWARD
This Memorial Award is given to a player who most exemplifies the character of James Johnston, tragically taken from us in 1993. This player consistently demonstrates strong leadership and skilled competitive play.
