Lakers holding season banquet on Saturday

The Peterborough Century 21 Lakers will celebrate their 2018 Mann Cup win with a banquet on Saturday at the Peterborough Golf and Country Club on Armour Road, the team announced on Friday.

The Lakers, back-to-back national champions, defeated the Maple Ridge Burrards in four games to reclaim their title, which is their fourth of the decade following wins in 2010, 2012 and 2017. Tickets for the limited-seating event are $40 and may be purchased by calling Lynn Withers at 705-748-3384.

The evening begins at 6 p.m. with a cocktail hour. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m. with team awards to follow.

There will be a 50/50 draw and more.
