Second shutout in a row for Barwinski in Chiefs win
LAKEFIELD — The Lakefield Hendren Funeral Home Chiefs blanked the Campbellford Rebels 11-0 in PJHL action on Tuesday night at the Lakefield-Smith Community Centre to improve to 3-1 on the season.
Zac Treen led the Chiefs attack with a goal and four assists. Jordan Vivian had two goals and two assists. Dawson Turcott and Ethan Young each had two goals and an assist. Karn Dart had a goal and an assist. Evan Marlowe, Jeff Hawthorne and James Allen had the other single goals. Adam Kitchen had two assists, while Ryan Shaughnessy, Riley Wade and Tarren Jank each had single assists.
Lakefield outshot Campbellford 48-12. Andrew Barwinski made 12 saves for his second consecutive shutout.
Next action for the Chiefs is Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in Picton. Chiefs players will be celebrity servers at Boston Pizza on Chemong Road in Peterborough on Thursday night.
