There are two new sites in the city to access Naloxone.

The opioid antidote reverses the effect of an overdose for about 20 minutes – long enough to seek medical help.

Naloxone kits and training are now available at the 360 Degree Nurse Practitioner Led Clinic on George St. N. and will be up for grabs as of Monday at the Canadi- an Mental Health Association (CMHA) Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge also on George St. N.

Anyone who is taking an opioid for any reason or has a family member or friend who’s using opioids can access a free kit at either site. Naloxone is also available at PARN on King St., FourCast on Hunter St. and the health unit on King St.
