Win, tie for Major Bantams

The Peterborou­gh Major Bantam A Petes continued their momentum from the Elmira Tournament over the past weekend.

The team travelled to Kingston on Friday and tied the Kingston Canadians 1-1. Nick Stinson scored the lone goal assisted by Cole Lester. Ryder Hadwyn played a strong game in net. Kingston came to Peterborou­gh on Sunday, for the team’s home opener, with the Major Bantam A Petes defeating the Canadians 6-2 at the Evinrude Arena.

Stinson scored two goals for the Petes with singles to Lester, Jacob Wilkins, Liam Vollans and Lucas DiBella. Noah Davidson had two assists while Nolan Keating and Carter Rutherford assisted on two other goals. Kyan Micks supported the team in net. Next action for the Major Bantam A Petes is Sunday at 6:45 p.m. at the Evinrude Centre against the Whitby Wildcats.
